passion and expertise

Impact Labels was established in 2006 by Byron and Samantha Hudghton. Leveraging Byron’s experience and passion for the industry Impact Labels has forged a reputation for manufacturing consistent, high quality product, delivered by a team dedicated to providing a high level of customer service. Accordingly, Impact Labels have increased turnover by 30% each year.

From Humble Beginnings

In May 2006 we purchased and installed a second-hand Iwasaki label printing machine at sublet premises in Browns Plains. Impact Labels was up and running. Byron was sales manager, business development manager, head printer, rewind operator, receptionist and chief administrator. Our first clients included Monrepos Conservation, Vadals Butcher Supplies, Tennyson Print Group and Triton Commercial System and Label & Price Marking who are still with us today. Within six months we had outgrown our sublet premises and relocated to Canberra Street in Hemmant.

The Second Press

In March 2008 we purchased and installed our second press, the Nilpeter FA2400, second-hand. With business growing rapidly we were also able to increase our staff to include two printers, a slitter rewinder, a sales representative and a finished artist. All of these staff members are still with us today.

By November 2011 with the business growing steadily we had again outgrown our premises so moved to our current office and warehouse facility at Fleming Road Hemmant.

Enter the Gallus

The mighty Gallus ECS 340 was purchased and installed in February of 2012. Mounted on a large slab of granite we were all very proud of this amazing new machine. Impact Labels now has 8 staff and continues to grow.

We now employ two state of the art flexographic presses, three rewinder/die cutting machines, have leased a second premises in the current complex, and employ 17 staff.

In the last financial year, the business grew by over 40%. The future is bright for the team at Impact Labels.
